Be sure to remove political signs

Now that Tuesday’s SC primary has passed, remember that temporary political signs must be removed by the candidate or property owner within five days following the election. Candidates involved in a runoff may leave their signs in place until five days after the runoff. Signs are not allowed on public property, public rights-of-way or utility poles. City staff will pick up illegally placed signs on public property. Here’s a photo of the current pile of collected signs. Candidates may retrieve their signs at the Dumpster behind the City Services Building, 921 North Oak Street.
