The Myrtle Beach Police Department hosts a Prescription Drug “Take Back” Event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, in the side parking lot at Grand Strand Medical Center. Unused prescription drugs can be dropped off safety with Police Department staff for disposal. Removing medications from the home helps fight the opioid crisis in our community. From Bypass 17, enter on 79th Avenue North and look for the tent and banner in the parking lot to the left. Pu...ll up the vehicle to the tent and stay in the vehicle; staff will approach to collect the medication. No liquids or syringes are accepted. A representative from Shoreline Behavioral Health Services will also be on hand to provide information and assistance.
