New playground equipment is coming to two Myrtle Beach parks this fall

Both Chapin Park and Gardens by the Sea Park are receiving new playground equipment in the next few weeks. Removal of the existing playground equipment at Chapin Park will begin Wednesday, November 4. Removal of the playground equipment at Gardens by the Sea will occur Thursday, November 12.

The new climbing structure at Gardens by the Sea will be a pirate ship, while Chapin Park will feature play pieces similar to those at Savannah’s Playground. Both playgrounds will be closed until the new equipment is installed and inspected.
