Performing Arts center coming to Myrtle Beach's new Arts & Innovation District

Construction should begin next summer on the performing arts center in Myrtle Beach’s new Arts & Innovation District. During Tuesday’s City Council meeting, architect Jim Hubbard from LS3P outlined the timeline for the theater, which will be used by Coastal Carolina University as part of its education program. Plans call for a 300-seat theater on Main Street in downtown Myrtle Beach. Hubbard indicated that construction drawings would be prepared in early 2021, followed by bids during the spring. Construction likely would begin in July 2021 and be complete in July 2022. See the attached images for more information.
