Supreme Court: All in-person court proceedings halted temporarily due to COVID-19
Just a reminder that court has been postponed indefinitely... The South Carolina Supreme Court has ordered that all in-person court proceedings be halted temporarily because of the spike in COVID-19 cases. As a result, the City of Myrtle Beach has suspended all bench and jury trials until further notice. Municipal Court will continue to provide bond hearings twice daily. A defendant may file a motion for a speedy trial, which the court will consider. If granted, the trial will be held remotely via electronic means.
