Miss Myrtle Beach hosts beach clean-up event Monday
Searching for a good cause? How about picking up litter on the boardwalk with the lieutenant governor and Miss Myrtle Beach? As part of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Keep America Beautiful” Campaign, everyone’s invited to spend an hour or two picking up litter from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 23. SC Lieutenant Governor Pam Evette and newly-crowned Miss Myrtle Beach Brooke Vu will lead the effort. Groups and individuals who wish to participate can register in advance at KeepMyrtleBeachBeautiful.com. First-time volunteers are asked to fill out the questionnaire and release form. Everyone meets at the volleyball courts at Ocean Boulevard and Ninth Avenue North to get your gloves and gear.
