Myrtle Beach welcomes athletes for NCAA Sun Belt Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championship

Myrtle Beach’s Sports Tourism Division welcomes 732 athletes to Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium this weekend for the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Outdoor Track-and-Field Conference Championships.  The competition began today, Thursday, May 11, and ends Saturday, May 13.  Participating colleges and universities include:  Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Marshall, Texas State, Troy, Louisiana Lafayette, Louisiana Monroe, South Alabama and Southern Mississippi.  The cost of admission for spectators is:  $20 for both days, $12 daily and $5 for children ages seven to 17, daily.  Admission is free for children ages six and under and students with a current, valid school ID from a competing university.  Good luck to all teams and welcome to Myrtle Beach!
