Myrtle Beach's mosquito spraying schedule adds Del Webb community

JUNE 13, 2023

The City of Myrtle Beach's mosquito spraying schedule has adjusted slightly to include the new Del Webb community. No other neighborhoods are effected. The city sprays regularly to control the mosquito population. The spray used does not affect animals or humans. We cover the city from north to south during the weekdays, weather permitting. Spraying begins about 4:30 p.m. on the following schedule:

Mondays – 62nd Avenue North to Northern City Limits (except Del Webb community)
Tuesdays – 21st Avenue North to 62nd Avenue North, including all of Del Webb community on west side of Highway 17
Wednesdays – Third Avenue South/501 to 21st Avenue North
Thursdays – 17th Avenue South to Third Avenue South (includes Highway 15 corridor)
Fridays – 17th Avenue South to Southern City Limits

Beekeepers, the City of Myrtle Beach also has a program designed to protect bees! Call 843-918-2000 to register beehives. Staff members avoid spraying in the area of registered beehives.
