Farewell and best wishes to Myrtle Beach Fire Department Battalion Chief James "Jim" Clement as he enters retirement. Chief Clement worked for the City of Myrtle Beach for 21 years, serving as fire marshal since 2019.
During his tenure, he has been on the front lines as a firefighter, as a member of the Urban Search and Rescue and Incident Management teams and as a member of the department’s Honor Guard. He was an integral part of the six-month Saudi ARAMCO Fellowship Program, where he welcomed seven Saudi Arabian firefighters to learn a variety techniques and skills.
Thank you, Chief Clement, for your commitment and dedication to Myrtle Beach’s safety through the years. We wish you all the best on your next steps. Your First in Service spirit will be remembered fondly. Enjoy this next phase of your life with your family!
