First in Service Friday: Thomas Smith
Please help the City of Myrtle Beach congratulate Thomas Smith for being this week's First in Service Friday Employee of the Week! Thomas is a mobile library assistant at Chapin Memorial Library, but he began there as part of the library's security team. Originally from Pennsylvania, Thomas has been with the library for almost three years! He says he loves the people he works with and being out in the community. Thomas will be out in the community much more soon when he helps staff the new Mobile Library! The Myrtle Beach Mobile Library is expected to arrive next week, and he says he can't wait. Thomas's nomination reads:
"I would like to nominate Thomas Smith for First in Service Friday for the following reasons... He greets all of our patrons with a smile, he is a great co-worker, a real team player and dependable. We (Chapin Memorial Library) offer a lot of programs to the public, and that takes a lot of work...especially the program called "The Jazz Café." This brings more than 100 patrons. Thomas is so patron-focused he checks on their cars during the program, and more noteworthy, Thomas takes a flashlight and walks them to their cars when it's dark."
