First in Service Friday: Vinny Finocchiaro

FIRST IN SERVICE FRIDAY. Please help the City of Myrtle Beach congratulate Vinny Finocchiaro for being this week's First in Service Friday Employee of the Week! Vinny is an electrician in the Sewer Division of Myrtle Beach's Public Works Department. He moved to Myrtle Beach from Staten Island last year, bringing his electric talents to the beach. He said he enjoys learning something new all the time as a city electrician, although it has been his lifelong profession. Vinny's nomination reads:

"I’d like to nominate Vinny Finocchiaro for “First in Service Friday." Vinny has an extremely positive attitude while at work! He recently addressed some electrical issues I was having in my office. Within the hour of reporting the issue, he showed up to my office like a super hero! He worked quickly, but because of the complex nature of the issue, was in and out of my office for a two- day period. Not only did he fix the issue, but he went above and beyond to try and offer other solutions to make my work environment as comfortable as possible. Vinny is a true gentleman! He was so very happy and accommodating while promptly taking care of my problem. He truly encompasses the “First in Service” mentality, and I’m so grateful for his help and to have him on our team. Thank you, Vinny!"
