Happy Halloween! Please follow these tips to stay safe this Halloween night

OCTOBER 31, 2023

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
We hope you have a ghoulishly spooky Tuesday. Note that the City of Myrtle Beach does not move the date on which Halloween is celebrated, nor does it set trick-or-treating hours. Please be safe while collecting treats tonight! See our list of safety tips below.

• Have a responsible adult accompany children.
Only visit neighborhoods and homes with porch lights on.
• Always cross streets at intersections and crosswalks.
• Wear reflective material on costumes.
• Use makeup instead of masks to improve vision.
• Make costumes short enough to avoid trip hazards.
• Always be aware of your surroundings.
• Use a flashlight to see and be seen.
• Inspect candy before eating it.
• Follow all golf cart, parking and pedestrian laws.
