First in Service Friday: Michelle Summit
FIRST IN SERVICE FRIDAY. Please help the City of Myrtle Beach congratulate Michelle Summit for being this week's First in Service Friday Employee of the Week! Michelle is a Recreation Leader at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center. She primarily works with teenagers and teaches the "Mind Your Biz" and "Ready, Set, Work!" classes. Michelle has worked with the city for two and a half years, but has lived in Myrtle Beach for 35 years. She says her favorite part about working for the city is the people, her co-workers and the kids. Her nomination reads:
"I want to nominate Michelle Summit for this award. Michelle has been an exemplary asset to our recreation team ever since she came aboard as a fulltime recreation leader. She is quick to jump in and help wherever and whenever she is needed. Additionally, she is a quick study, and has become proficient at all the new responsibilities she was tasked to learn. She's spearheaded a new program, "Mind Your Biz," which instructs teens on the ins and outs of personal entrepreneurship. Michelle has a servant’s heart, evidenced by the way she greets customers and tends to their needs promptly. She is truly deserving of recognition for all she has done."
