City of Myrtle Beach issued more than 6,500 building permits in 2023
Did you know… That the City of Myrtle Beach issued 6,501 building permits (all kinds) with a total construction value of $372,109,222 during the 2023 calendar year, ending December 31, 2023? The total includes $167,331,026 in residential construction and $204,778,199 in commercial construction within the city limits. The numbers reflect permits for 346 new single-family residences, 14 new multi-family structures and 22 new commercial buildings . Also included in the totals are 292 fences, 257 roofs, 115 signs, 84 swimming pools, 29 demolitions and five mobile homes. The yearly numbers reflect a noticeably slower construction environment during 2023 than in 2022.
