Residential solid waste service is back to normal

Residential solid waste service returns to the normal schedule on Monday, October 29.  Beginning Monday, the city again will be picking up household garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulky junk on the regular collection days.  Service schedules have been disrupted since Hurricane Florence, in late September.  Since then, Solid Waste crews have completed two full passes of the city to pick up hurricane debris.  Regular bulky junk and yard waste collections were suspended during that time.  Again, Solid Waste service returns to the usual Monday-through-Thursday collections next week.  We thank everyone for your patience!
