And the answer is... No permit is required for a residential yard sale within the city limits of Myrtle Beach! The city allows up to four residential yard sales per year (one per quarter). You may post one yard sale sign on the property itself. We do not allow signs in the public right-of-way, on utilit...y poles, in medians or elsewhere.
However, the city does not allow yard sales on commercial properties or at business locations. Special permission is needed for that sort of activity.
