The City of Myrtle Beach issued 7,159 building permits (all kinds) with a total construction value of 311,394,704 during the 2019 calendar year. The total includes $185,066,010 for residential construction and $126,328,694 for commercial construction. The numbers show that the city added 499 new single family residences and nine new commercial buildings last year.
