Yaupon Drainage Project is underway

The “Yaupon Drainage Project,” a large project to improve localized stormwater issues east of Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, is underway. Crews are working on the project between 15th and 16th Avenues South. It consists of two new storage ponds and 184 linear feet of 36” x 48” storm drain box culvert. The ponds will run through the center of the Southeast condominium complex, in the parking lot. The city anticipates completion in May 2020, and the project’s estimated total cost is $598,553.
