Myrtle Beach mourns the loss of Construction Services Director, Chris Lee

Myrtle Beach loses a coworker and friend… We are extremely sad to report that Construction Services Director Chris Lee lost his long battle with illness this morning. Chris joined the city in January 1999 and rose through the ranks, becoming department head in May 2017. “Chris was an exemplary employee and an all-around great guy,” City Manager John Pedersen said. “He bore his illness with great grace and courage, and through it all maintained his signature sense of humor.” All of us at the City of Myrtle Beach extend our condolences to Chris’ family at this time of loss. It won't be the same without you, Chris.
