Most parks in Myrtle Beach will reopen next week
Most parks in Myrtle Beach will reopen next week…. The current schedule calls for most parks, including the two off-leash Barc Parcs, to reopen to the public by Monday, March 18. However, social distancing will still be needed! Playgrounds and picnic shelters likely won’t reopen until May 23, unless Governor McMaster lifts additional restrictions later this week. Here’s the tentative schedule:
• Parks – Monday, May 18
• Barc Parcs – Monday, May 18
• Municipal Court – Mond...ay, May 18
• Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center – Monday, May 18
• City Hall – Monday, May 18
• Myrtle's Market – Wednesday, May 20
• Playgrounds and picnic shelters – Monday, May 25
• Matt Hughes Skate Park – Monday, May 25
• Tennis courts and outdoor pickleball courts – Monday, May 25
Again, these dates are tentative, meaning openings could be sooner or later than projected. We may know more later this week about recreation centers, Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium and other city facilities.
